Dramatis Personae: Stonesinger

Mild spoilers for Stonesinger below.


Before the Death Sentence:

Colonel Arak - an officer in the Gilded Trading Co., commander of the Southern Theater, and leader of the Yaqar Sahni campaign.

Sergeant Typho - a mid-ranking soldier in the Gilded Trading Co. and Canto’s superior.

Sergeant Gorgo - another mid-ranking soldier in the Gilded Trading Co.

Algus Bund - the Royal Archaeologist of Aurelium, his finds are often catalysts for momentous change.

Volerius - a forgetful old man with pet canaries.

Diamandara - a mysterious woman who lives alone in the Atalan Mountains. Called the Stonewitch by the locals.

Romond “Stoneskin” - a former gladiator and slave who travels from Ignis to Yaqar Sahn in search of freedom, only to be sentenced to death.

Anighito “The Iron Man from Hanshu” - a former gladiator and champion, Anighito is Romond’s owner and trainer in the Causoleum of Malacarnassus.

The Red King - King of Ignis, Master of House Nikadrakis, and Lord of Malacarnassus, King Mourla Nikadrakis III is a symbol of tyranny and oppression.

Private Canto - a low-ranking soldier in the Gilded Trading Co. that befriends Romond.

Lieutenant Cowl - an intelligence officer in Yaqar Sahn.

Addy - a strangely hairy, gangly youth, who knows the inner workings of Lower Barbarocc and its fighting pits.

Tauropo - a burly Nikadrakeen Dragoon.

Sylvana - an attendant in The Scale Pit of Lower Barbarocc.

Shabbur - a scoundrel in Lower Barbarocc.

Mahkua - a surgeon’s assistant in Lower Barbarocc.

Juntinian Pyrolis Nikadrakis - second son of the Red King of Ignis, Marshal of the Malacarnassus City Guard, champion of the Skull Pit of Outer Barbarocc.


After the Death Sentence:

Pop - An old man sentenced to death alongside Romond.

Braham “En Sa'han” - a Jawharan man of some importance. He lives in Windstill with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Bazil - Brahm’s son, an excitable boy enamored with Romond. He lives in Windstill, which he calls his “Blue City.”

Izil - a Transcendent in the Blue City of Jawhara.

Tanji - Brahm’s wife. A powerful woman in her own right, she often chooses her family before herself.

Salma - Brahm and Tanji’s eldest daughter.

Kadiduk - Brahm and Tanji’s son-in-law who is constantly late for dinner.

Happy - an Allaphantine who bears Brahm.


Before the Apokalypse:

Ada Stonesinger - a philosopher in the service of the Horned One.

The Horned One - the emperor of Yram.

Apophis - a magus in the service of the Horned One.

Jonjon Stonemelder - a young Stonesinger, in awe of the Great Races.

Jonyx Stonemelder - Jonjon’s father, a builder and innkeeper with an uncertain past.

Stonemother - an aged and intensely powerful Stonesinger.

Kyranus - Tyrant of the Silk Court, a Titan of Aether.
